The important thing is not the purpose but the adventure itself.

First of all, let me introduce the movie's main characters that we can meet through this animation. I think I can tell main characters of this animation are three men. First one is absolutely Carl Fredricksen who is a 78-year-old man and recorded by Edward Asner. Second is an 8 year old boy who is called Russell. Last one is Charles F. Muntz who is the greatest adventurer at Carl’s youth time. Of course, many other important characters are appeared like Dug, Kevin, Alpha, Gamma and Beta.











There are some interesting things in this animation. Of one of other characters, Kevin is a tall and flightless bird living in hidden world and his crying sound was recorded by Pitt Doctor who was a producer of this animation. Also, Dug’s voice which is a dog owned by Charles is recorded by Bob Peterson.

The Paradise Fall, which Carl and his wife, Ellie, always dreamed of, is pictured based on Angel falls in Venezuela. The actual length of that fall is 3,300 feet tall but in this animation depicted as 9,700 feet longer than the real one. Whatsoever, it’s incredibly beautiful.







Whenever I watch the works by PIXAR, I can’t help but being full of admiration about the efforts and brilliant ideas which make this beautiful story. I can’t even imagine how hard work it is.

For whole their lives, Carl and Ellie dreamed of the great adventure. However, we all know it stays always in our dream because we are just busy to live. Along the way, Carl suddenly realizes that he has no time to hesitate to adventure anymore by Ellie’s death. He finally starts his own adventure suspending his house itself with thousands of balloons. I think most people have once dreamed of flying with balloons when they were young. Actually I have. I thought I could fly to the sky if I have thousands of thousands of balloons. How brilliant idea that makes the house flown with balloons is. At the moment that Carl is thinking that he is alone in the flying house, he finds the boy who always hung around, and it makes them travel together. He, eventually, realizes a lot of important things about life through this adventure with the boy.





























I think the most beautiful part of this animation is the scene that he sees the book which is made with his wife in order to adventure someday. He have a plan to give the adventure, which Ellie always dreamed of, as a gift even if it’s late but Ellie recorded all the days with him in that book. The book says that for her, every single moment that she could be with him like buying a car or house was a real adventure.













I don’t want to be a spoiler so I didn’t mention anything about the end of the story. That I can tell something about this animation is that it is worth watching. I hope you will appreciate the sensation of heart.
